Julia Aplin is currently the grade two, three and four teacher and runs the dance and music program at the B.E.N. School-House. She holds a B.A. and a B.Ed. and is certified by the Ontario College of Teachers. Julia has been teaching dance to children since1983.

Julia integrates her love of the arts and enthusiasm for movement into the classroom learning environment. Julia writes songs and creates dances to help children in their academic understandings as well as with behavioural and social issues. She teaches the Ontario and GET curriculum in various ways, encouraging and incorporating multiple learning styles. Julia strives to allow her students to feel the delight in learning, growing, searching and attempting.

She has 20 years experience as a professional dancer and choreographer and is a teacher of the Mitzvah technique. (a holistic movement technique for better health).
