"Parenting in Light of Changing Times" - Parent Workshops

At the parent workshops, our teachers offer information and tools to deal with some of the challenging situations in your child's development.  The tools we provide have been tried and tested and parents find them very effective!

Your Pre-school child – and the Keys to Co-operation
  • What do I do when my child bites/ hits me, or another child?
  • How do I work with my child to tidy up?
  • My child screams until she gets what she wants.  What do I do?
  • My child refuses to get dressed – with or without help.  
  • My child is cooperative with others but gives his parents a hard time.

Annual Pancake Breakfast - our annual fund-raiser
  • Everyone is welcome (friends, family and neighbours..) 
  • Home-made traditional, organic pancakes
  • Great crafts for sale and a raffle
  • Games and activities for children plus musical performers

"Vitamin Evenings" for Parents


At the BEN, once a month, teachers and parents meet to explore together one of the core values that form the foundation of our value-based curriculum which we call Vitamins. These Vitamins are introduced at specific ages when children are developmentally ready to start to learn and experience a particular quality or skill that will serve them for life if they chose to use it.  We have found that these are valuable for ourselves as adults as well. 

Vitamins represent life-long skills and qualities and even if your child is too young to be introduced to a specific Vitamin, it might still be useful in the bigger picture of what is in store and maybe useful to your own life as well.
