Our Grades 4-6 program builds on the strong foundation established in earlier years, preparing students for the transition to high school. Students continue to work with the Ontario Curriculum while deepening their understanding of the Vitamins approach.
Advanced Academics
At this level, students engage with more complex academic content while maintaining our hands-on, experiential learning approach:
- Language Arts - Advanced reading comprehension, creative writing, and public speaking
- Mathematics - Problem-solving, algebra foundations, and real-world applications
- Science - Inquiry-based learning and scientific method
- Social Studies - Canadian history, geography, and civic responsibility
Leadership Development
Students in Grades 4-6 take on greater responsibilities within the school community:
- Mentoring younger students
- Leading school initiatives and projects
- Community involvement and service learning
- Developing presentation and communication skills
Preparing for the Future
Our program ensures students are well-prepared for high school by developing:
- Strong study habits and organizational skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Self-advocacy and independence
- Confidence in their unique strengths and abilities
Graduates of B.E.N. School-House enter high school as confident, well-rounded individuals ready to take on new challenges.
