Junior Kindergarten: The Larks Group
At the B.E.N., the junior kindergarten students are busy experiencing a live and active education, in guided pursuit of qualities that enhance this life education and build a solid platform for learning. Some of these qualities and skills include patience, helpfulness, manners and even learning to tell jokes!
The day is an adventure... bright and full with a gentle continuum of activities which relate and interconnect, bringing to life all the mysteries and wonders available to them. They experience:
- Interactive math lessons while baking
- Music and dance
- Learning a second language
- Science lessons in the park
- Nature walks and field trips
- Quiet play and teamwork
Learning becomes fun, just as it should be!
Senior Kindergarten: The Swallows Group
Building upon skills already developed, our senior kindergarten students deepen their experiences of the world around them. They begin to put to use the vast amount of abilities and information they have gathered thus far, and burst into a busy year of doing!
During this year, we embark into:
- Geography - Understanding our world
- Rhythm - Music and movement
- Identity - Understanding who we are
- Coordination - Physical development
- Community - Discovering ways to contribute
This year we actively work to open the children up to the seeds of new learning as they continue on their journey of education and life.
